After almost forty years of travelling, due to my work as an airhostess, I was really tired of staying in busy hotels. On my own vacation, I was longing for quiet, genuine places, far away from noisy breakfast lounges.
My Husband and I started to look for alternative accomodations in Rhodes, as we love this sunny island, with it´s beautiful beaches and crystal clear water.
We found our Paradise, not far from Rhodes Town, in Koskinou. A charming village mixed with ancient old houses, Greek Tavernas with amazing athmosphere, and friendly neighbours who has been living here for generations.
We started out by renting a house from MrYiorgosStavridis in Koskinou.
A house, big enough to accommodate the whole family and friends during our holidays. It was the perfect place to stay, a lovely village, yetnot far from the Ocean.
After returning year after year to Koskinou, and with the same sad feeling every time we had to leave, we felt that this was the magic place to be called our second home, as we loved it so much.MrStavridis started his mission to find us a place to buy. At first we were a bit suspicious when he presented us an old ruin without a roof and not even a floor to walk on, only rubbish and grass.
Here is where our journey started with blood, sweat and sometimes tears.
Withypomoni(the greek wordfor patience), a lot of hard work together with Yiorgos, his great skills and exceptional taste, we finally saw our dream of The Turqouise House coming true.
It was all worth it, this is our favorite place to be, and the perfect dream of a Greek summer.
Here we have the best time of our lives. Every summer filled with new adventures that we happily enjoy sharing with family and friends.
We hope that this home will bring as much joy and fulfillment to you as it does to us – always!
